We are looking for full and part-time Call Center Representatives for our Glen Allen and South of the James locations. Call Center Representatives ensure that positive relationships are developed and maintained with our furry guests and their owners! Every day, many times during the day we get the opportunity to help customers choose the best services for their pets, decide on fun playtime activities, how to “beautify” their pets, and schedule vacation stays. We realize that the customer face-to-face interaction is critical, but that anticipating a customer’s call and possible requests is equally important. Holiday Barn is a high-volume pet resort, with the opportunity to talk with many customers about their pets on a daily basis. Candidates for this position must be able to manage multiple telephone lines in a professional, caring manner. We represent Holiday Barn through telephone conversations, face-to-face, on tours, and even at pet related events. This position can be either full time or part time, depending on the applicant’s availability.  Our resorts are open 7:00 am – 7:00 pm weekdays and 7:00 am to 6:00 pm on Saturdays and 9:00 am – 6:00 pm Sundays; we need phone coverage for all these times.  Holidays are included except for Thanksgiving Day and Christmas day when our lobbies are closed to the public. Shifts are available; shift times will be determined based on applicant’s availability.

Customer Service Supervisor/Coordinator

We are looking for a Customer Service Supervisor/Coordinator for both our Glen Allen and Southside locations. The Customer Service Coordinator ensures that positive communication and representation of our company is maintained so that we can consistently provide high level services for our furry guests. The focus day-to-day is on driving the best customer service experience at each point of contact, but we realize that this success happens well before the customer arrives at our business. The customer service “pack” is a large group, with eight to twelve front-end associates and five to seven department leaders throughout the company. Our customer service coordinator is an intuitive part of our “pack” and integrates our Holiday Barn values into all customer interaction points throughout all departments.

Candidates should possess the following talents: Individuals who thrive on interacting with people and their pets, providing a high level of service and enjoy looking for growth opportunities. Proven success in managing a customer experience team is a must and the ability to consistently train and grow this department within our company’s goals. Leadership skills are also a must; we are a “pack” work environment, therefore we need individuals who can work with our leadership team and be a leader within the customer experience department. Basic pet knowledge – we don’t expect you to be a dog or cat expert, but to have some pet experience is very helpful. Responsibilities

  • Build customer confidence by making every visit positive, engaging, knowledgeable and reassuring.

  • Manage the Physical Brochure of customer access areas. Ensure that the Customer Service pack is assigned duties to maintain the entrance, customer areas (including bathrooms), the parking lot, and that they are maintained for a furrmazing experience for the customer and pets.

Requirements

  • Recent experience in customer service which should include proven success in a multi-tasking, fast paced environment, while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Supervisory experience; experience supervising a team with proven team leader success.
  • College degree or equivalent work experience as specified above.

Day Care Supervisor/Coordinator

We are looking for a highly motivated, responsible dog lover to be a leader within our Day Care Pack at Camp Holiday Barn at our Glen Allen location. The Day Care Coordinator ensures that operations at Camp Holiday Barn are successfully maintained and integrated into the service goals of all other departments at Holiday Barn, ensuring the health, safety and happiness of our day care guests. The Day Care Coordinator is a hands-on employee within Camp Holiday Barn and the entire resort. The coordinator works closely with the Day Care Manager, the Facility Manager, other department managers and pack members to provide premiere care and service to our guests while also integrating Holiday Barn’s values into all interactions with all pack members, customers and guests.

What is Dog Day Care like at Holiday Barn?
Dog Day Care at Camp Holiday Barn is an action-packed day care program which entertains your dog all day. There are many benefits to our day care program. Your dog will come home tired and happy. Your dog will get quite a bit of exercise.

The Day Care Coordinator works in both supervisory and hands on roles with the Day Care Manager and Day Care Associates at Camp Holiday Barn to ensure the health, safety and happiness of day care guests.

We are looking for a highly motivated, responsible dog lover to work with our Day Care Pack at Camp Holiday Barn.

Day Care Coordinator requirements include:

      • We will provide training, but graduation from a certified grooming school or other previous training is a plus!

Pet Care Associate – Summer/Seasonal

Enjoy caring for our vacationing dogs and cats while their human families are on vacation. Our Summer/Seasonal Pet Care associate positions are great jobs for high school and college students.

Pet Care responsibilities include cleaning, feeding, exercising and monitoring the health status of our guests and pampering them with lots of TLC. We need Pet Care associates to help during our busy summer season who are dependable, willing to work and who work well within a team. You must be 16 years of age to work at Holiday Barn.

Our resorts are open from generally from 7:00 am – 7:00 pm, seven days a week, including holidays. We have morning, afternoon and night shifts available. Shifts are generally 6 – 8 hours, including breaks. We need seasonal associates for all shifts and especially on holidays. All pack members work weekend and holiday shifts, because as a resort, that is when we are busiest taking care of our guests.

A Pet Care Coordinator for Holiday Barn Pet Resorts is responsible for:

      • Accountability for the welfare of our furry guests.
      • Help hire, train and supervise staff to maximize our level of service to guests ensuring all Holiday Barn pet care SOP’s are properly executed.
      • This is a hands-on position and you will be required to perform the same tasks as staff as needed.
      • Ability to effectively communicate to facility manager potential pet care issues and opportunities.
      • Assist Pet Care Manager and/or Facility Manager with developing and/or implementing ideas to improve resort operations.
      • Coordinate staff needs among other teams as business trends require, such as grooming or camp.
      • Provide support to other teams, such as grooming, customer care and activities or camp, as needed in absence of their supervisor.
      • Provide clear and constructive feedback to staff regarding work performance and deliver realistic expectations and appraisal of work performance.
      • Act as a “Pack” leader and communicate effectively with the staff.
      • Handle customer issues and opportunities in professional manner.
      • Ability to open and close facility.
      • Have an understanding of all facility operations to keep facility running efficiently and safely for our guests and employees.

Some of our job requirements

      • Two years supervisory experience, including experience supervising a large staff.
      • Two years work experience as a vet assistant in the animal care field.
      • Ability to work in a fast paced, physically demanding position.
      • Availability to work all major holidays and work a rotating schedule that includes weekends.
